Xiaomi Redmi 8A Review & Price in Pakistan(18 May, 2024)

Design and Build Quality:

The Redmi 8A featured a simple and functional design. It had a plastic body with a textured back for better grip. The phone was available in various colors.

It sported a 6.22-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a waterdrop notch. While the resolution wasn’t the highest, it provided acceptable visual quality for the price segment, with decent colors and viewing angles.

The Redmi 8A was powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 chipset, which is an entry-level processor. It was suitable for everyday tasks and light gaming but not for resource-intensive applications or gaming.

Battery Life:

One of the highlights of this phone was its 5,000mAh battery, which offered excellent battery life. Users could comfortably get through a full day or more on a single charge, depending on usage.

The camera setup on the Redmi 8A was basic. It had a single 12-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. While it could take decent photos in good lighting conditions, the camera performance was limited in low-light situations.

The phone ran Xiaomi’s MIUI skin on top of Android. MIUI offered various features and customization options but could be considered somewhat heavy compared to stock Android.

Storage and RAM:

The Redmi 8A was available in different RAM and storage configurations, offering options for users with varying storage needs.

It had a single bottom-firing speaker, which provided average audio quality. It also retained the 3.5mm headphone jack.

The phone supported 18W fast charging, which was a notable feature for its price range. However, the fast charger may not have been included in all regions or packages.

Build Quality:

The build quality of the Redmi 8A was generally durable for its price point, and it offered P2i coating for some level of splash resistance.

In summary, the Xiaomi Redmi 8A was a budget-friendly smartphone suitable for users who needed a basic device for essential tasks like calls, messaging, and web browsing, without demanding advanced features or performance. It was known for its excellent battery life and affordability, making it a popular choice in the entry-level smartphone market. However, if you’re looking for more advanced features and performance, you might want to consider higher-tier smartphones in Xiaomi’s lineup or from other manufacturers.
